Damp Checks, Lincolnshire
My damp and water ingress inspections provide you with accurate moisture measurements from all areas of your vehicle to highlight any potential concerns. Always done as part of a service, damp checks can also be requested separately.
Why Are Damp Checks Important?
Regardless of whether your caravan, motorhome or camper is 20 years old or still under warranty, it's vital to ensure water is not entering your vehicle. Water ingress causes structural damage and reduces the future value and saleability of your van.
My damp check inspections cover roof, walls and floor with pinpoint accuracy, reading the moisture level on all surfaces and up to 20mm below with my non-intrusive electronic scanner.
The best result is no damp found; however should the worst happen, identifying it quickly can simplify any repair required and reduce costs significantly, whether it requires sealant to a window or a complete rebuild.
High AWS Standards
All Mobile Camper Care damp checks are completed in accordance with AWS guidelines to ensure any water ingress is identified and appropriate warranty/non-warranty repairs completed to required standards. The AWS provides a current matrix of caravans by manufacturer and identifies how each should be checked (with which tools, etc). A report is provided to show moisture content around your vehicle.
Once your damp check is completed you will receive a document showing a sketch of your vehicle, identifying average moisture levels and any significant areas of interest. This report should be kept for comparison during next year’s service to highlight any improvement or new potential problems.
