Mobile Caravan Engineer
I used to be an IT Manager with a passion for camping. In 2017 I retrained as a caravan and motorhome engineer.
Passionate About the Motorhome Lifestyle
Having my own motorhome and the lifestyle that has opened up led me to do something that challenges me and I am passionate about, while meeting and supporting like-minded motorhomers and campers. My customers are fellow campers with similar passions and stories to tell.
Last year I spent 44 nights in my Auto Trail (Apache), touring England and Scotland as far as the Orkney Islands. We have travelled the entire coast of France over the last few years and are hoping to tour Spain in the near future.
I prefer a multimeter to an oily rag
I like to think of myself as a technician first, able to understand the problem, present possible options—some cheap, some not—and repair in the shortest possible time with a happy regular customer and, hopefully, a good recommendation.
Fully Certified AWS Engineer
In 2019 I became a member of The Approved Workshop Scheme—the only scheme supported by all the major UK manufacturers—and the Mobile Caravan Engineers Association. My competence as a caravan engineer is reviewed annually by a team of independent AWS assessors, and I abide by the Approved Workshop Scheme's strict code of practice, which means you can expect excellent customer service when you hire me. You can be confident that I'm qualified to required standards, my caravan repairs are guaranteed, and any active warranties are protected.
I have completed onsite training with all the leading appliance suppliers and am approved to repair, under warranty, if required.
An AWS badge means that my mobile workshop meets rigorous standards and complies with all the necessary professional and technical requirements.

Mobile Caravan Engineers Association (MCEA)
I'm trained by and a member of the Mobile Caravan Engineers Association, the UK’s largest network of independent service engineers. MCEA members work hard to deliver quality service at a competitive price. I participate in the MCEA Quality Standard (QS) scheme, which ia a code of conduct equal to any other recognisable service standard in the UK.
